ULAB organizes an event on sustainable social change

The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) organized a learning and networking event on sustainable social change for students who completed the university’s Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).

The event, titled “Creating Sustainable Social Change Through Diversity and Tolerance,” was organized by ULAB’s Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) on April 21, according to a press release. .

The Vice-Chancellor of ULAB Pro, Professor Shamsad Mortuza, gave the opening speech.

Next, Prof. Sumon Rahman gave a lecture on building a sustainable information ecosystem, and Assistant Prof. Tawhida Jahan gave a lecture on Diversity and Tolerance in Everyday Life.

The event was well attended by students from five different universities – North South University, Independent University, Bangladesh, American International University-Bangladesh, Brac University and Dhaka University.

There were a total of around 90 participants and a lively discussion, following which the students shared their own experiences with diversity and tolerance and how they promote these values ​​in their communities.

This event was part of an ongoing CES project at ULAB implemented since 2016.

This project was ranked 39 globally in 2021 by Wuri Ranking, read the press release.
