This project is a noble initiative for deserving students in Nagaland by DGAR with the support of Axis Bank as corporate partner and National Educational Integrity and Development Organization (NIEDO) as training partner.

The project was designed by Assam Rifles to empower young people in Nagaland through education and secure a better future for them.

The project was conceptualized as a year-long residential coaching and mentoring center for students from economically weaker and disadvantaged sections of Nagaland for prestigious competitions like NEET and JEE.

It can be mentioned that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Assam Rifles, Axis Bank and NIEDO was signed on May 13, 2022, beginning the difficult journey of selecting 30 deserving students from across the state of Nagaland.

He emphasized that mentoring will provide value-based education, including soft skills training, essential life skills, leadership skills, personal conditioning, wellness programs, job training, personality development and end-to-end grooming to selected students to help them become a productive human resource for the nation.

Lieutenant General Nair also felt the need to reach the remote areas of Nagaland.

Also speaking on this occasion, Major General Vikas Lakhera, SM, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) expressed optimism that this project will provide a real opportunity for quality education to selected children through specialized mentors.

This initiative will also prioritize other such collaborations in the future and would have a significant impact on the education provided to the relatively weaker sections of society, he added.
