author organizes an exhibition for supporters of social change | Lifestyle and culture

Author and photographer Mukesh Kashiwala will host an Advocates of Social Change exhibition from February 16 to April 1 at the Barron Arts Center at 56 Rahway Ave, Woodbridge.

Kashiwala said the event will feature images of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

He said he was organizing the event to spark interest among advocates of social change and nonviolence.

“The picture tells the story,” Kashiwala said, “Graphics often tell more than words.”

“I’ve held expos in New York and New Jersey, but I wanted to hold one in my community,” Kashiwala said.

He said his success depends on attendance and he hopes to get as many people as possible at his exhibit.

Tirth Patel, a computer science major, said he was interested in the event but would need to make time for his schedule.

“I’m a full-time student, full-time worker, and athlete for Cricket USA,” Patel said.

Engineering major Mohammed Aboutaleb said the location was convenient, but he was not interested because the hours of the show conflicted with his school schedule.

Kashiwala said potential contestants can contact his email at [email protected] with any questions.
